Posted in : Others

(added last year!)

The Henry and Stark County Health Departments will beholding special Seasonal Flu vaccine clinics for children 6 months to 18 years of age and adults who have not received a seasonal flu shot. A clinic will be held in Galva, on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Galva High School.

Costs for the children’s vaccine will be set by the following criteria:
•Medicaid enrolled - (bring current medical card)
•No insurance or underinsured (if your insurance does not pay for immunizations; $8 fee will be charged)

If your insurance covers immunizations, please contact your health care provider. Parents and adults may also receive the seasonal flu shot at these clinics; the cost for individuals age 19 and over is $25 per shot.

Tdap (diptheria, tetanus and pertussis) will be offered free of charge to adults under 65 years of age who have not had a tetanus shot in 10 years. The supply is limited and will be given out on a “first come, first served” basis.
The health department notes that it is important to be protected against the flu virus; as influenza epidemics are unpredictable.
