A new program called Kids Health Link is proving to be very beneficial. The state’s economic situation has forced some drastic cuts to Arizona's Medicaid Program. Many people say they are not eligible and have no way of paying for health insurance. A lot of residents lost their health insurance when they lost their jobs and that has resulted in added burdens to many families.

Amanda Reynolds is a young mother of three and she says a great burden was recently lifted from her shoulders. Her 16-month-old daughter was born with eye problems. The family lost its health insurance in August. Reynolds says a couple of weeks of desperation ended when she found out about Kids Health Link. It is a program designed to connect families with health care programs, whether they are private or public.
